Terminal & Stack De-Ice Device

Highly improved safety, functionality and continuity of the operations in winter circumstances.

Introduction

A solid hanging frame is mounted on both front bumpers of a straddle carrier (SC). This ingenious system fits perfectly on to the bumpers. Each type of SC has its own mounting system, depending of their specific measurements (Noell, Konecranes, Terex, Kalmar, Liebherr, …)
It can be installed or removed in just a few minutes, and brings through its shape and choice of materials the highest possible support and protection, even so inside the containerstacks (rows). On to this frame, two salt spreaders protected by steel heavy-duty protection rings are installed. By using an (included) android smartphone with a specially developed app to operate the system, the SC driver is able to control both sychronized salt speaders from inside the steering cabin. (total wireless!) The width of treatment and salt dosage are automatically adjusted with one finger tab, by selecting the desired pre-set menu. (1 or 2 ) : approx. 9-10 Mtrs ( 2 x 4,80 Mtrs ) and 1.20 Mtrs ( 2 x 1.20 Mtrs ) The synchronized saltspreaders react in a split second. The large capacity of the salt containers ( 200Ltrs or approx. 250-300Kgs/Unit ) give this device a total treatment area of approx. 125.000 Square Mtrs. depending of the average speed in just 30 minutes (!)   4 to 5 SC’s equipped with this system can treat a large terminal in within an hour!
All this in the safest way possible because visibility of the salt spreading SC. is guaranteed, even more prominent when the bright training light is switched on. Other mounting parts also available to attach the saltspreaders on to pick-up trucks and other vehicles. This way parkings e.o. can also be treated with the same wireless equipment.   No other de-ice equipment can be compared to this!
